Mayo Clinic
It turns out that I am not going to Mayo for a second opinion now. There is only one doctor that is qualified to see a patient who has a tumor as large as mine. That particular doctor is booked a great deal in advance, and I can't wait that long. So, the plan is to proceed with surgery on Friday at Methodist Hospital.

Hi Becky and John,
I have been thinking about you all weekend. Glad you have confidence in your doctors and that we live in an age when there are so many advances in medicine. We'd be happy to help, like dropping off a no-fuss dinner some night during your recovery so that you don't have to cook, or something else that could make things a little easier. We know you have very supportive parents, siblings, friends and family, and hope that you draw on us if you need anything.
Love,
Mary and Peter
Becky,
I just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you have a safe and expeditious operation and recovery. Please let Michael or I know if there is ANYTHING we can do for you or your family (watching your kids, meals, running errands, etc)...We would love to help you through this difficult time.
